There's been a lot of talk about Skype 2.0, and how it does video and how it is cannibalizing the development community and other issues the company is having right now.
But, let us be realistic - with the integration of video with Skype, and Skype-Out, the real business is going to be porn.
Now, no, I don't believe that Skype (or eBay) is actively going after the porn business. But, let's be realistic. Porn is the same business that has always driven technology: adoption of VCRs, the Internet, the adoption of broadband access, pop-up ads, pop-under ads, DVDs ... well the list goes on and on.
So, why is Skype 2.0 the perfect porn outlet? The combination of video and calls, which seems the perfect partner for $1.99/minute.
Why? Easy - it's owned by eBay, which owns Paypal. eBay has to have grander plans for more than just push-to-call to eBay auctions - something that has never really made any sense to me. I've bid on eBay, and bought on eBay and never felt the need to talk to the people beyond an easy email. Why do I need to speak to the people?
But, think about a Paypal link within Skype to be able to pay for things over Skype video or a Skype audio call? It'll be able to revolutionize Skype and revolutionize porn / sex calls from Skype.
Well, maybe not revolutionize, and I don't know if this was part of their business plan, but the fact is that Skype hasn't penetrated the US market that well, and this might push it over the hump.
No puns intended.
I think you're grasping at straws a bit, if I remember correctly Paypal stopped offering payment services for porn sites when ebay took them over so I cant see them targeting porn with this. Also, the video quality isn't really that flash yet either, are people really going to pay for crappy video on skype?

It's porn - of course they're going to pay for crappy video.
As for Paypal and it's porn policy, it's not like they can track all the "personal" payments.
